she is a career diplomat, with over 16 years of service across various assignments at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism of Sri Lanka, and Sri Lanka Missions overseas.
Consul General Ms. Achini Perera joined the Sri Lanka Foreign Service in 2009. Prior to her present appointment, she served at the Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Dubai, UAE, Sri Lanka High Commission in New Delhi, India and Sri Lanka Embassy in Tokyo, Japan. She holds a Master’s Degree in International Relations (First Class) from Annamalai University, India, a Bachelor’s Degree in Science (Honours) from the University of Sri Jayawardenepura.
